Fiore's 6th book: Training primer for karateka
Just in time for the Frankfurt Book Fair, Europe's most successful karate author, Fiore Tartaglia from Göppingen, presents his sixth book. The 48-page primer with spiral-bound cardboard pages summarizes, in up to 70 illustrations, each of the 26 classic exercises that the German-Italian has documented in detail, including countless intermediate steps, in four volumes since 2000.
“The primer is intended to be used in training on the "Quickly recalling forgotten knowledge," is how the 5th Dan holder describes the main purpose of the new work. Essentially, the booklet is a summary of the four black volumes in which the 51-year-old documented the teachings in countless graphics. The ring binder now reduces this visual mass to the core drawings. This way, each of the 26 movement sequences is compressed to a maximum of two pages.
Given the 2,000 karate schools and 150,000 karatekas nationwide, Tartaglia's latest book is sure to be well received. He identified the need for this in his own school in Deggingen, which he opened in 2003. There alone, 160 martial arts enthusiasts train weekly, from beginners to 5th Dan.
Tartaglia's total circulation of 26,000 books since 2000 is likely to receive a boost with the new work, especially since his four-volume work, parts of which have also been published in Italian and English, is considered an official textbook in German-speaking countries and beyond.
A Spanish translation of all four volumes is planned, and the German Karate Association (DKV), with its 110,000 members, recommends the books. The author, who self-publishes his titles and sells them online, receives nearly 100 clicks a day on his website. With this blog post, I want to help my amiable friend continue to increase his click rate and circulation. Congratulations, Fiore!
