INTERMEDIATE MOVEMENTS IN FOCUS: COURSE WITH FIORE TARTAGLIA (7TH DAN) INSPIRES PARTICIPANTS

On March 21, 2026, the Karate department of TV Hoof had the pleasure of welcoming approximately 50 karateka to a course with Fiore Tartaglia (7th Dan) in Schauenburg-Hoof. Participants traveled from a wide range of regions - including Kassel, Bad Hersfeld, Bielefeld, and Gotha - ensuring a strong, interregional field of participants.

The course focused on "The Importance of Intermediate Movements" - an aspect often underestimated in karate, but crucial for timing, control, and the effectiveness of techniques.

Fiore Tartaglia conveyed the content in a special way: calmly, precisely, and with a keen eye for detail. Instead of spectacular techniques, the focus was on the often inconspicuous but crucial moments between techniques. This is precisely where he started - opening up new perspectives on familiar movement sequences for the participants.

The atmosphere throughout the course was characterized by high concentration, mutual respect, and genuine enthusiasm for shared training. Regardless of belt rank or experience, all participants gained valuable insights for their own karate.

A recurring phrase from Fiore Tartaglia, emblematic of his teaching style, will be particularly remembered: "That was good, but..." What initially sounds like a simple correction evolved into a central message over the course of the day: Karate is a lifelong learning process. Every technique - no matter how well executed - can be further refined. New perspectives, new details, and new possibilities for improvement constantly emerge.

The course was not only intensive training but also a valuable reflection on one's own understanding of karate.

The Karate department of TV Hoof sincerely thanks Fiore Tartaglia for this inspiring course and all participants for their strong involvement and the excellent training atmosphere.
