Values & Philosophy

Karate is, among other things, a path of personal development – the experiences gained in the dojo extend far beyond training and influence us in our everyday lives.

What moves us?

Let us be guided by our passions

I act with the goal of being fully present in life – I don’t always succeed, but more and more often.

For me, karate is...

A philosophy of life – a discipline of daily life and thus a living worldview. I am convinced that karate can convey certain values that benefit one in everyday life. In addition to discipline, these include values such as respect, humility, helpfulness, dealing with criticism, and politeness. I practice karate every day, even if some days succeed better than others. I support all karateka in learning to intensively live their own personal karate in everyday life and thereby sustainably improve their own quality of life.

Each karateka decides what karate means to him or herself.

Your own limits, but also your own potential, are determined by your own thoughts.

This philosophy is also practiced in our karate school – the Karate-Dōjō Taikikan. "Taikikan" means "school of the body and inner energy." This underscores our approach to karate:

"For us, karate is a martial art that shapes people in all aspects and is also a way of life, because the experiences gained in the dojo shape our everyday lives."

This philosophy...

which I have anchored in my actions and in my works, should be expressed in a guiding principle – in this sense:

FT KARATE - LEVEL UP YOUR KARATE & LIFE
