A week that changes your karate path

"The FT-KARATE retreat is more than just training - it's an opportunity to look at your own path from a new perspective, question ingrained patterns and go home with fresh impetus." - Fiore Tartaglia

A week full of intensive training, new impulses and inspiring encounters - that was the FT-KARATE Retreat 2024. But our retreat is more than just an ordinary training course. It is a profound experience that challenges body and mind alike and invites karateka to look at their practice from a new perspective.

Why are the FT-KARATE retreats so special? What makes it different from a traditional course? And why should you be there in 2025? Find out here.

Why a karate retreat?

The idea of a karate retreat arose from the conviction that a week with like-minded people is an invaluable enrichment - for your own karate and beyond. The combination of intensive training sessions, in-depth impulses and personal exchange with karateka from different backgrounds creates a unique atmosphere.

The FT-KARATE retreat offers the opportunity to concentrate fully on karate and personal development outside of everyday life. It's not just about technique and fitness, but about a holistic experience that appeals to both body and mind.

The concept: experiencing karate from a new perspective

While traditional courses often deal with individual topics in a short space of time, the FT-KARATE retreat allows for a deeper exploration:

✔️ Adopt new perspectives - think beyond your own karate style
✔️ Question habits - recognize and break through ingrained patterns
✔️ Experiment with new routines - see techniques and concepts in a new light

This combination ensures that what you learn is not just a temporary experience, but is integrated into your own karate in the long term.

Karate in modern society

Karate is not just a martial art - it is a path to personal development and the promotion of physical and mental health. Many people practise karate to reduce stress, boost their self-confidence and improve their general fitness and concentration.

Karate also has a strong social component. It unites people of all ages, genders and backgrounds and promotes intercultural exchange. In our Dōjō "Taikikan" we preserve the traditions and inspire new members with our special Dōjō atmosphere.

Participants experience this holistic aspect of karateō particularly intensively during the retreat. Traditional practice is combined with modern training methods to convey a comprehensive understanding of the martial art and its philosophy.

The difference between a retreat and a course

A training course is often an intensive experience - but also a short one. A weekend full of training sessions is valuable, but the sustainable implementation of the content can be difficult.

The FT-KARATE retreat, on the other hand, gives you a whole week to get to grips with the topics. The intensive focus on specific content means that what you learn doesn't just remain theoretical, but is anchored in practice. The participants have space for reflection, individual questions and exchange with other karateka, which reinforces the learning process.

What do the participants take away?

"Even implementing part of what they have learned is enough to strengthen their own path." - Fiore Tartaglia

Not every impulse is implemented immediately, but many of the new insights gained shape the karate path in a subtle way. A more flexible perspective, a deeper understanding and often a new motivation accompany the participants home.

Conclusion: Why you should attend the next FT-KARATE retreat

Our retreat combines intensive training, in-depth theory and meditation to create a unique experience. A week full of impulses that will refine your technique, deepen your understanding and promote your personal development.
