NUKITE

The nukite stance is also called yonhon nukite (four fingertips) or gohon nukite (five fingertips). The key to nukite is to bend the middle finger, which is longer than the index and ring fingers, so that it stabilizes the hand and is the same length as the two fingers next to it. This allows the target to be struck with a compact surface formed by the tips of these three fingers.

Very frequently used in many kata, the Nukite can already be found in three of the five basic kata: Heian nidan, sandan and godan.
